The first round of micro haulers will drop Friday, December 5 at 9am Mountain Time and ship out by December 10. I expect to sell out quickly since I have very limited inventory for this first batch!
You can drop your email in the email signup form at the bottom of the page to get emailed when the drop goes live!
The Micro Hauler is a carefully engineered and highly durable bag that clips to your harness for bringing layers, headlamps, snacks, and other essentials up a multipitch climb. It's intended to help you keep gear off your back and closer to your center of gravity, and built with ultralight, ultra-durable pack fabrics so that you don't have to worry about scraping it against granite, nut tool punctures, or thrashing it in chimneys.
Features
- Strong and durable haul loop to clip to your harness
- Cyberian CL one-handed cinch opening system (glove-friendly, too!)
- Two sizes and three fabric options to choose from
- Made by hand in Boulder, CO
- Comes in hot pink! 💅✨
Fabrics
All of the fabric options for the Micro Hauler are extremely durable state of the art outdoor fabrics produced by Challenge Sailcloth.
TX50 (white) is the lightest and most packable fabric option. It's a great choice for a stuff sack that you can keep in your jacket pocket at all times and so light you won't even notice the bag, while still being very durable.
EcoPak EPX 200 (hot pink) is our medium-weight fabric option. It's the stuff that many bikepacking and thru-hiking bags are made of and has very good abrasion resistance, making it great for chimneying or getting thrashed on a bigwall. The pink is very pink, it's truly glorious.
Ultra 100 (dark grey) is our extreme-durability fabric option. It's made out of the same UHMWPE material that your Dyneema climbing slings are made out of, giving it extreme abrasion resistance and strength properties. While all of our bags are highly durable, this is the one you want if you're gonna be climbing offwidth and chimneys all day every day. Note that this fabric costs roughly 3x as much per yard as the others, so the pricing on these bags is slightly higher. Due to the stiffness of the fabric, Ultra bags are only available in the large size.
Sizing
Medium is 11cm in diameter and 20cm tall when fully closed. It's the perfect size for packing a midlayer like a lightweight grid fleece, or for holding some snacks and a headlamp.
Large is 12cm in diameter and 22cm tall when fully closed. It's ideal for carrying a typical mid-weight puffy jacket like a Patagonia Down Sweater or Arc'teryx Cerium LT. This size is slightly larger than the factory stuff sack for these jackets to make it easier to deploy and then stuff your layers at each belay on a multipitch.
Small and XL sizes may be available in the future if the demand is there!
